HUMANITARIAN AID CONVOYS

   

 

 
1994    The very first aid delivery.  Nine volunteers in three transit vans
1995    Two 38 tonne vehicles full of aid travelled  the 4000 mile round trip to Osipovichi and Mir delivering aid to a disabled school and hospital
1997    Fourteen people in 7 vehicles travelled with thousands of pounds worth of donated goods including clothing, medical equipment and books
1999    Nine crew members in four vehicles transported materials and tools for the project at Special School, Osipovichi as well as medical aid for hospitals at Osipovichi and Mir.
2001    Five vehicles travelled this year, taking aid and materials for the project at Osipovichi baby hospital.
2002    As well as the usual aid mission consisting of two 44 tonne wagons this trip incorporated two additional vehicles enabling a planning/advisory team to research the 2003 project at Mir Hospital following completion of the delivery of aid. Total crew = ten.
2003    Materials and tools for Mir project + aid to schools and hospitals in                                 Osipovichi.  Helped by patients in slippers and pyjamas
2004    Two 44 tonne vehicles crewed by four volunteers
2005    Two 44 tonne vehicles crewed by four volunteers
2006    Materials and tools for second Mir project
