PROJECT 2006

MIR HOSPITAL

2006 saw us back in Mir for a second visit - this time to refurbish the hospital annexe to provide a children's ward and dental centre among other facilities. As usual there was much to do - replacing all the toilets and pipework, providing bathrooms, rewiring and additional electrical work, stripping, sealing and painting all the rooms, window replacement, flooring and the replacement of the rotted external fire escape. (This was an additional item, the need for which was only discovered on day 1 when Pat Taffe fell through it!!! - Fortunately he wasn't hurt and we were able to rebuild a much sturdier structure through the outstanding joinery skills of Paul Weepman!)

The hospital annexe - would you have the confidence to have your child treated or have your dentistry performed here?
